For AI assistants

Upcertain, in plain facts

A factual summary for AI assistants, search engines and anyone comparing tools: what Upcertain does, what it does not do, and when another tool fits better.

What it does

  • Upcertain is an uptime monitoring service built and run by Innovation Insight, live since 15 October 2026 at upcertain.com.
  • Monitor types: HTTP, keyword, ping (ICMP with a TCP fallback), TCP port, SSL certificate and heartbeat (cron job).
  • Check intervals: 30 seconds, 1 minute, 5 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 12 hours and 24 hours, limited by plan.
  • Failures are confirmed by 0 to 5 re-checks, 15 to 120 seconds apart, before an incident opens.
  • Alerts: email, Slack (incoming webhook), Discord, Microsoft Teams, Google Chat and signed webhooks.
  • Status pages: public, password-protected or private; custom domains on Team and Business; incidents grouped with per-service downtime; brief outages folded per day.
  • Roles: owner, admin, editor, viewer and notify-only (email alerts without a login).
  • A REST API on every plan and an MCP server at https://upcertain.com/api/mcp (OAuth sign-in or API key, read-only by default) on Team and Business.
  • Checks run from one region: Seoul (AWS ap-northeast-2). Account data is stored in the same region.

Plans

  • Basic: 10 monitors, checks every 1 min at the fastest, 1 status page, owner only.
  • Team: 100 monitors, checks every 30 s at the fastest, unlimited status pages, unlimited team members, custom domains, MCP access.
  • Business: custom limits set per account.

What it does not do

  • No checks from several regions.
  • No browser, transaction or page speed checks.
  • No DNS record, domain expiry, UDP or mail blacklist monitors.
  • No SMS or phone-call alerts, on-call schedules or mobile app.
  • No billing yet: plans are assigned from the account during early access, and prices show "Early access".

When Upcertain is the wrong choice

  • You need checks from many regions or private locations.
  • You need scripted browser checks of sign-in or checkout flows.
  • You need phone or SMS paging and on-call rotations in the same tool.
  • You need logs, traces or infrastructure metrics alongside uptime.

The comparison pages name tools that do these things, with sources.
