The short version

  • Pick Site24x7 if you want websites, servers, applications and networks in one suite, a free plan, or Zoho's ecosystem.
  • Pick Upcertain if you want uptime monitoring that a small team can set up in an afternoon, with 30-second checks, chat alerts, status pages and MCP.

What the table leaves out

Comparing a suite with a focused tool on price alone is misleading. Site24x7's plans bundle server and application monitoring that Upcertain does not offer, while Upcertain's plans count only uptime monitors. Compare the monitors you actually need, at the interval you need them.

Where Site24x7 does more

It monitors far more than websites: servers, applications, networks and cloud resources, with dashboards and reports across them. A free plan lets you start without paying.

Where Upcertain is different

  • One job done simply: uptime checks, confirmed incidents, alerts and status pages.
  • 30-second checks on Team and Business.
  • Heartbeats for scheduled jobs next to website checks.
  • MCP so Claude or Cursor can answer "what is down?".

Questions to ask before you switch

  • Do you monitor servers, applications or networks in the same tool today?
  • Who needs a login, and who only needs alerts? Notify-only contacts cover the second group.
  • How long do your deploys or jobs normally take? That decides confirmation checks and heartbeat grace.

Moving from Site24x7

  1. List what you monitor in Site24x7: URLs, hosts or jobs, with their intervals.
  2. Import URLs and hosts with a CSV file, up to 200 rows at a time (CSV import); add heartbeat monitors one by one.
  3. Add alert channels and send a test to each.
  4. Point your status page subdomain at pages.upcertain.com if you had one (custom domains).
  5. Run both side by side for a week before switching the old checks off.

Questions

Can Upcertain monitor server resources?
No. It checks whether services answer from outside: HTTP, ping, ports, certificates and heartbeats. Use a server monitoring tool for CPU, memory and disk.
Does Upcertain have reports?
Owners and admins can have a weekly or monthly uptime report emailed, and the REST API returns uptime for 24 hours, 7, 30 and 90 days.
Is there a free plan?
Upcertain is in early access: billing is not enabled, accounts start on the Basic plan and plans are assigned from the account.
